The gallbladder is a pear-shaped organ that lies on the undersurface of the right lobe of the liver.

What is the function of the gallbladder?

The gallbladder’s primary function is to collect and concentrate a digestive liquid called bile. Bile is produced by the liver and stored temporarily in the gallbladder until it is drained into the intestine to help in food digestion.

What are the diseases of the gallbladder in children?
